Founding Engineer

We’re hiring a founding engineer to work across our TypeScript and Node.js backend and our Next.js and React frontend. You’ll build API integrations, improve the dashboard, and work on reliability, testing, and developer tools. You’ll work directly with the founders and users. This is a full-time, in-person role in San Francisco.

• Build and ship features across Next.js, React, TypeScript, Node.js, and Postgres
• Add third-party API integrations and maintain the ones we already support
• Review code and help make technical decisions
• Talk with users and turn their feedback into product changes
• Improve testing, monitoring, and development tools
• Help set engineering practices as an early hire

• 3+ years of professional software engineering experience
• Strong foundation in Computer Science, including data structures, algorithms, and systems fundamentals
• Full-stack experience, comfortable owning features from the database to the user interface
• Hands-on experience with REST APIs, microservices, and database-driven applications
• Experience with modern front-end development, including Next.js, React, and TypeScript
• Experience with modern server-side languages and frameworks (e.g., TypeScript/Node.js, Python, or similar)
• Comfort with testing, debugging, monitoring, and performance optimization for distributed systems
• Comfort working closely with a small team and changing priorities
• BS or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience

• Experience with API platforms, developer tools, or data products
• Familiarity with cloud infrastructure (e.g., Vercel, Render) and CI/CD workflows
• Built and shipped your own products or startups
• Open source contributions
